Recently, after a lengthly negotiation with the heirs
of a significant 65 acre tract with a fine house, five
individuals purchased the property as a group. One
neighbor took the leadership in finding others to make
an offer for the land as a single entity. Having one
buyer was a condition of the sellers. The process took
considerable time for the buyers. The group has placed
a number of conditions on land use regarding
development such as: a 40 foot tree buffer from the
road; limited number of dwellings on each plot; and no
building on the meadow-like section of the property.
With persistence and imagination, a significant
property with extensive road frontage has been
purchased by individuals working together to limit
extensive development. In addition, they have a
wonderful home site for themselves and their heirs.
